Honoring the Life of Drew Haase
Apr. 9, 2015 - The American Mock Trial Association wishes to honor the life of alumnus Drew Haase, who passed away April 1, 2015 at the age of 31.Drew was a valuable member of our mock trial community and a legend in the Notre Dame mock trial program. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2006 and from its law school in 2009. As an undergraduate, Drew helped lead the Fighting Irish to the National Championship Tournament. As a practicing lawyer, Drew coached the team—and this year again helped lead Notre Dame to the National Championship Tournament. Drew cared deeply about the sportsmanship of mock trial, as evidenced by this article he wrote about the Spirit of AMTA.
Drew was a successful attorney, working first as an associate for the national law firm Jenner & Block and most recently as a federal district court clerk.
Drew is survived by his parents Don and Kelly Haase, his siblings Kyle, Keane, Clancy, and Darby, and his grandparents Debby Roach and Mary and Jerry Haase.
AMTA will pay tribute to Drew on April 17, 2015 at the opening ceremony of the National Championship Tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio.
