Brandon Harper, Esq.

Brandon Harper served as AMTA's 10th President from 2020-2022. During Brandon's tenure, AMTA successfully navigated the COVID-19 pandemic by transitioning from in-person to online mock trial and back. Brandon also appointed AMTA's first Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the first Student Advisory Board.
Brandon is an attorney in New York. Previously, Brandon was a litigation associate in the New York office of O'Melveny & Myers and a law clerk to the Honorable Karen Nelson Moore of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and to the Honorable Raymond A. Jackson of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Brandon served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, President of the Trial Advocacy Team, and a member of the Supreme Court Clinic. During law school, Brandon interned for the Honorable Nicholas G. Garaufis of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Brandon earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and has a Certificate in Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Brandon has served as head mock trial coach at the College of William & Mary and Washington University in St. Louis, and as coach at the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University. Brandon has been involved with AMTA since 2005.
